Calling all 14-19 year olds in the North West!

What do I need to do?

You’ll simply be asked to perform your duologue.  This should be a 3-4 minute duologue from a PUBLISHED AND PERFORMED BRITISH PLAY.

And if I get through…?

Richard Goodwin Brown will work with you on your duologues and monologues (probably on a Tuesday evenings/Friday afternoons) and help to get them into tip top condition!

And on the day…?

Day 1                Monday 25 February 2013

Day 1                Monday 25 February 2013

On day 1, you will perform a short (3-4 minute) duologue and then each student will perform a 2 minute monologue from any British play.  The audience will vote for the favourite couple, who will then go forward to the final – day2!

Day 2                Monday 4 March 2013

Day 2 – The Final!  In the final there will be a number of VIPs; including well known actors, agents and casting directors, who will watch the performances and will also deliver exciting workshops.  This is a great opportunity for you to be seen by professionals and learn how to get into the acting industry.

I just wanted to say thank you on behalf of myself, Kate and St. Mary’s for your time on Wednesday. It was really interesting to have a tour around the theatre where the children will be performing and also finding out about Lowry and seeing his work. The children had a lovely day both before the performance and during. They are very excited to start our work on The Tempest!

Again a big thank you to you and the staff at The Lowry for your assistance.
